Total Physical Response - helping educators teach new language skills
An established technique used by many language teachers, TPR will now be as fun for the teacher as it is for the students.
Now you can update and track your vocabulary, day by day . . . virtually without time or effort!
What started with TPR — Total Physical Response, a methodology developed by Dr. James Asher — turned into TPR / Story-telling when Spanish teacher Blaine Ray found that TPR became stagnant unless the learned commands had a meaningful reason to be learned. It finally incorporated some of the ideas of Stephen Krashen, the author of The Natural Approach, and transformed into TPRS, Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Story-telling.
